A scale should be easy to find, easy to stand on and easy to live with. The black-glass Elis 1 keeps a familiar bathroom format while adding Bluetooth connection to RENPHO's companion app.
The listing advertises several body metrics, but those estimates are not a diagnosis or a substitute for professional assessment. The useful shopping distinction is connected recordkeeping versus a basic standalone weight display.
01
A place it can stay
Pick a suitable hard, level surface according to the instructions, rather than moving the scale between soft rugs and uneven tiles. Consistency is a more useful starting point than chasing extra decimal places.
Check dimensions and the listed capacity against your needs. Leave enough space to step on comfortably and store it where it is not in the path of a swinging bathroom door.
02
The app is part of the product
Look at phone compatibility, account requirements and the app's privacy information before connecting. Body measurements are personal information, so decide what you actually want synchronized and where it will go.
A household with several users should check how profiles and measurements are assigned. More accounts can be convenient, but only if everyone understands which record is theirs and how it is managed.
03
Keep the numbers in perspective
Choose this format if having a record in one place would make your routine more convenient. It is not necessary to make every displayed estimate a daily goal or a purchasing justification.
Review the manufacturer's suitability and use warnings, including restrictions associated with the body-composition function. If you only want weight, compare that simpler requirement separately instead of assuming more metrics always means a better fit.
